It was incorporated in 1935 as a successor to McCormick Dray Line, McCormick Transfer and McCormick Construction Company. Northern Improvement has earth moving, landfill, site development, marina excavation, municipal asphalt, highway asphalt, municipal concrete, highway concrete, residential concrete, concrete foundations, mine grouting, chip sealing, aggregate mining & recycling, building demolition, rural water, power plant and oil field operations. Although the company has worked in 14 states and one Canadian Province, the company is headquartered in Fargo, ND other areas that offices are located are Bismarck, ND; Dickinson, ND; Sheridan, WY; Bullhead City, AZ; Prescott Valley, AZ.
