Legislative 101: Preparing for the 2027 Session

    A Member-Exclusive Virtual Briefing
Understanding the legislative process is the first step toward having a voice in the decisions that impact your business.

As North Dakota prepares for the 70th Legislative Assembly, the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) invites Standard and Cornerstone Level Members to join a practical introduction to the state's legislative process.

Led by GNDC's Government Affairs team, this 45-minute virtual session will break down how laws are made, who's involved, and what businesses should know before the legislative session begins.

    Who Should Attend?
This entry-level session is designed for members of North Dakota's business community who want to better understand the legislative process right before it begins. No previous legislative experience or knowledge is necessary.

    What You'll Learn
    • The Process: How legislation moves from bill introduction to final approval.
    • The Players: The roles of legislators, committees, legislative leadership, and other key participants.
    • The Language: Common legislative terms, timelines, and procedures, from Organizational Session to Sine Die.
    • Your Role: How employers can stay informed, follow legislation, and engage on issues affecting their businesses.
