    GNDC hosts in-person CEO Roundtable

On Wednesday, June 23, GNDC held an in-person CEO Roundtable. The event, held at ND Heritage Center had over seventy businesses registered to attend.

The focus of the day was Untapped Labor Pools. The morning kicked off with a welcome address from GNDC CEO and President, Arik Spencer. Roughrider Industries gave a presentation before lunch. In addition to the benefits and services provided by this state agency, personal testimony was provided by an inmate further showcasing the success and value of the program.
The afternoon had two sessions specific to best practices and available programs. ND Division of Vocational Rehabilitation hosted a panel featuring presenters from Jeremiah Program, Mind Shift, Job Corps, and Missouri Valley Family YMCA. Following this conversation, Scott Staudinger – Cloverdale and Mike Fridolfs – Northrop Grumman presented on tools and tactics their organizations have developed, helping secure talent pipelines to ensure company success.

Spencer stated, “CEO Roundtables bring company leaders together for an invigorating exchange of information, ideas and insight. This roundtable featured a strong line-up of programs and practices that are available to businesses to inspire solutions. Equally as important was the opportunity for attendees to network. The pandemic has prevented gatherings and the conversations that took place at the event demonstrate the importance of in-person, face-to-face communications.”

The next in-person event will be GNDC’s flagship event, Policy Summit in Bismarck on August 12. This hybrid event is open for registration and early bird rates are available until July 4th.
