Business Briefing- Hospitality Economic Resiliency Grant Plus
We invite you to join us for a Special Business Briefing on Friday, December 4 at 9:00 am (CST) where we will introduce the Hospitality Economic Resiliency Grant PLUS, share how to prepare for filling out the application and announce the exact date/time Commerce will begin accepting applications. Governor Burgum has been invited to kick off the event.
This additional funding expands the hospitality grants to include the accommodation sector and will be REIMBURSED based on RECEIPTS for operational costs. This includes hotels, motels, lodges and resort establishments. The HERG PLUS is intended to assist the state’s hotels, motels and lodging businesses who have been impacted by loss of revenue due to low occupancy rates that have been a result of the pandemic.
The grant is not intended for private vacation rentals or Bed and Breakfasts who rent rooms, apartments, condos or homes to the traveling public through online marketplaces like Airbnb, HomeAway, or VRBO. Extended stay hotels who offer rooms for rent on an ongoing nightly basis are eligible, but those who only serve long-term stays defined as 30 days or more are not eligible.
Facilities may apply for up to $40,000. Applicants with more than one eligible facility may apply for up to $80,000; if you receive a grant for more than one location, you cannot spend more than $40,000 per location. An eligible location must meet business eligibility requirements as listed at https://belegendary.link/PHERG and is defined by a customer facing marketplace. List all locations in which your ownership is 50% or greater, regardless of whether business has a separate EIN. Applicants must list each business under this guideline and will be awarded according to the maximum rule.
To receive call-in information, attendees must register as a non-member. A confirmation email with call specifics will be sent to the email provided in the registration prior to the call. Please provide your questions relating to the call during registration. These will be provided ahead of time to the Department of Commerce so that presenters can address your questions to the extent possible, given the dynamic environment. Questions not addressed during the conference call will be answered in follow-up communication.
This call will be recorded so it can be accessed at a later time. Recordings of the previous Business Briefs can be found at GNDC's information hub.Business Briefing- Hospitality Econom...Date and Time
