WSI Board of Directors Candidate Needed
BISMARCK – A coordinating committee outlined in the North Dakota Century Code Chapter 65-02-03.1 is seeking employer representative candidates to fill a seat on the Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) Board of Directors which becomes available for appointment on December 31, 2021.
The seat available is for an employer representative of North Dakota businesses with a WSI annual premium range of over $25,000 per year. Candidates interested in filling this position must be the principal owner, chief executive officer, or chief financial officer of a North Dakota business. Candidates must be able to travel (in-state) several times a year to attend WSI Board of Directors meetings and be available to serve on WSI Board subcommittees.
Coordinating Committee member Arik Spencer stated, “We have a robust Workforce Safety & Insurance program in North Dakota. As North Dakota continues to grow, this advisory board will be instrumental in ensuring ND’s WSI system remains one of the greatest in the nation.”
“We are looking for candidates who have a good base knowledge of WSI and are dedicated to implementing and promoting policies, procedures, and legislation to increase safety and help prevent injuries in the workplace. This is important work, vital to North Dakota’s business community and injured workers” Spencer added.
