Recruitment isn’t just about effort — it’s about access. Employers need clear, efficient pathways to both find talent and connect job seekers to opportunity.

That’s why Alli Goossens (North Dakota State University) and Pat Bertagnolli (Job Service North Dakota) are featured at the GrowND: Workforce Showcase on April 21 in Bismarck.

• Alli will share how NDSU connects students to careers using Handshake — providing employers with direct access to emerging talent and helping job seekers navigate pathways into the workforce.
• Pat will highlight how Job Service North Dakota serves as a central resource for both employers and job seekers — offering tools, data, training programs, and support to streamline hiring and connect individuals to meaningful employment.

Together, these sessions focus on how businesses can better leverage existing resources to improve hiring outcomes while creating clearer pathways for job seekers.


The GrowND Workforce Showcase features rapid, 10-minute presentations from workforce leaders across education, industry, and government, followed by networking and resource tables. Current speakers are available online, with additional highlights shared weekly.

If growth depends on talent, this is time well spent.
