Policy Summit Preview: Era of De-Regulation
GNDCMonday, August 10, 2026
EVENT LINK
Federal regulation shapes the cost of doing business - no matter the size.
For small and mid-sized companies, compliance requirements can influence hiring, investment, expansion, and day-to-day operations. As the federal government moves to reduce regulatory burdens, businesses have a timely opportunity to understand what is changing and how they can help shape the process.
An issue central to many GNDC members, the session, "The Era of De-Regulation" will close GNDC’s Policy Summit on September 22.
SPEAKER- Trent Staggs, Regional Advocate, U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy
Staggs represents Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota, working directly with small businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders to ensure the voice of business is represented in the federal regulatory process.
During this presentation, he will discuss the Trump Administration’s efforts to identify and eliminate burdensome federal regulations across agencies. Attendees will learn how businesses can provide input on regulations, access available resources, and engage in decisions that affect their ability to grow and compete.
Staggs will also share current economic data and outline the federal pro-growth agenda, giving North Dakota business leaders greater insight into the policies and regulatory changes that may affect their organizations.
