The Future of Workforce Access and Experience

    EVENT LINK

Workforce challenges aren’t just about supply — they’re about access, awareness, and experience. Employers need new ways to connect people to careers and remove barriers to entry.

That’s why Matt Chaussee (CareerViewXR), Bruce Klootwyk Jr. (Bismarck State College), and Casey Nyhus (Bobcat) are featured at the GrowND: Workforce Showcase on April 21 in Bismarck.

    • Matt and Bruce will showcase how immersive technology is transforming workforce development through Bismarck State College’s XR for VR initiative — a $9.9M effort using virtual reality to connect individuals with disabilities to high-wage career pathways. By bringing real-world career experiences into accessible, interactive environments, this approach expands awareness, builds confidence, and removes traditional barriers to employment.
    • Casey will share how Bobcat is building talent through intentional internship experiences — creating meaningful pathways for students to connect with careers, gain hands-on experience, and transition into the workforce. These programs serve as a scalable model for employers looking to strengthen early talent pipelines.
Together, these sessions focus on expanding access to opportunity — using technology and experience-driven pathways to connect more individuals to meaningful careers.

The GrowND Workforce Showcase features rapid, 10-minute presentations from workforce leaders across education, industry, and government, followed by networking and resource tables. Current speakers are available online, with additional highlights shared weekly.

If growth depends on access to talent, this is time well spent.
